Excellent small cafe with a lovely atmosphere and great food. Would highly recommend it!
I honestly can't recommend this place enough. It has a relaxed vibe, the owner and staff are very friendly. There is a lot of choice for vegans (like myself) or meat options as well. It's beautifully decorated inside. A lovely place to take family or to hide away for an hour during your lunch break at work! And if you can't stay and eat, you can take the food away with you as well!
Very nice staff, however pretentious and expensive shop. 11 pounds for 2 bacon sandwiches and a coffee. 2.60 for coffee making the sarnies 4.20 each! Wouldn't mind paying that however 2 very thin slices of standard bacon that do not fill the bread. Still hungry! On a plus coffee was lovely.
Have visited Baskerville's cafe 4 times now for lunch and I've never been disappointed. Always a very warm welcome from the lovely owner. There's not a huge menu but what there is is presented beautifully and is always extremely tasty, from a simple toasted sandwich to a delicious home made curry with all the little sides (chutney and naan bread). Whenever a friend suggests meeting for a coffee I always end up at Baskerville's and now my friends are hooked. Must try the breakfasts when I have a free morning.
Very small but pleasant cafe/tea room. Staff friendly. This was my first visit and I was the only person in there at 11.30 but expect it gets busy as know it's popular. Food very nice and would go back.Only negative was that it was a bit chilly but guess it warms up when more people in there.
