Dear Sir/Madame, I have been writing and trying to get an outcome about this topic for months, it is coming up to a year now. I worked for the TGU unit in KMPT, and was treated incredibly unfairly. I informed the ward manager, the head of the unit and other professionals that various members of staff were continuously using and abusing illicit substances at work, and coming to work high or intoxicated. Having known that many higher staff members knew about this and nothing was done is increasingly frustrating. It breaks my heart knowing that those patients are being 'cared for' by these people and nothing has been done to protect their well being. I have attached some messages from staff members there at the time. Please take time to investigate this. Its a matter of urgency. Thankyou.
I had a terrible experience. I passed out and hit my head and I was confused and disoriented and the nurses did NOTHING to re assure me. Instead, they took me into a corridor and into a type of waiting room where there was an elderly man dying before my eyes, blood from other patients (I assume) splattered all over the floor. The 'nurse' that was taking my blood didn't even put the strap around my arm, she simply shoved the needle in and told me to 'deal with it' when I was sobbing in pain. This was not Trevor Gibbens unit, this was the main A+E
