S&B where efficient on booking in, making sure details where correct. Their premises is a little small and tricky to get to. Prices are reasonable. The van I was given had several faults with it, but got the job done. Have used before and will use again.
Saw the advertisement on side one of their vehicle. Need a car for a day hire. They advertised 25 pound per a day. Went the office to get the car they charged 50 pound double the price of what they advertised I ask the staff advertised for 25 per day. I feel like I've been scamed by the company. Naver will hire from this company again.
Citroen relay-FD64UAN. When I went to collect the van it was on the road with the engine started which I thought was odd. Realised when I got to the fuel station on blue bell hill that the ignition barrel was faulty, couldn't start van for at least 30 minutes after constantly turning the key. The "emergency breakdown number" was useless, tried calling and the phone was switched off!. Tried calling the office 3 times, no answer. Number plate light was out, warning light was on dash but didn't realise it was for that. Driver side window would not open as the switch was missing! Brake fluid warning came on whilst driving. Only persisted with it while it was light as i only had until 8pm to move a family member. When I got through to the office in the evening and explained the issues I was told "it's drivable and if you don't bring it back you'll be fined 250". Please do not hire a van from these people, go with a more honest/dependable company who provide roadworthy vehicles
Good company to hire from lovely staff.
At their prices, I expected my minibus to be well used and it was - but it was clean inside and everything worked fine. All lights and controls worked and it started and drove perfectly. The staff could not have been more helpful and polite and made the rental dead easy. I took a party of my daughters friends on a Hen night in London without a single hiccup and would not hesitate to use SBS again. (I was not coerced to write this either!) Recommended.
