My past experiences with Sports Direct staff are that they are usually quite rude but I later learnt that their working conditions are one of the worse. With no incentives, I'm not surprised by their attitude but I was pleasantly surprised this week by Inga, a member of staff from the Chequers centre branch. She was extremely helpful and kind. I just would like to remind the owner of Sports Direct that the lifestyle you have today is thanks to your staff and that you should treat them better instead of you/ your family wasting money pretending to be something that you are not.
I tried for over 1 hr yesterday to get hold of someone at Maidstone on the phone, to confirm they had an item in stock. When I called another two SD branches (to check their stock) both told me that they (the staff) are not there to man the phones. Well why have a b/##dy phone number displayed on your website under contact us?! Useless and full of ...... in the end I just took my business elsewhere.
The staff never seem very happy, some are extremely rude. Never enough staff on the footwear department and have to wait a long time to be seen to but the checkouts are normally pretty quick with not too many ques and reasonable prices.
Good place to buy branded sports wear cheaper than the rrp. Excellent deals when they have sales on. The only thing i don't like is the fact they don't offer refunds, it's store credit only even if the fault is there own !
Good discounts here on sports wear and accessories. I always buy my trainers from here as get over 60% off. There never seems to be enough staff to assist though and some of the aisles appear over crowded & narrow to me, which can make access to the rear of the store awkward. Well worth a visit.
